Plughz is owned and operated by Wendy Hammond, a dedicated horse owner and rider. Her profound love for horses, coupled with her unwavering desire to effectively solve various equestrian-related problems, inspired her to create Plughz. Wendy works closely with top riders, experienced trainers, and knowledgeable equine specialists to develop innovative solutions that are thoroughly tested, ensuring they are both safe and of the highest quality for horses and their owners.

The History

Plughz ear plugs were introduced as a cotton alternative, as cotton is white and visible in the show ring. Traditional latex foam golf balls and cat toys can cause allergic reactions in horses, leading to ear sores. Plughz are made from a non-toxic foam solution and providing better sound deadening than traditional fleece. Available in black and three sizes as well as the popular and economical Stable Packs.

A natural extension from the ear plug is their popular Sound Off Ear Nets. These offer great sound deadening for those horses that don’t like ear plugs and for the dressage rider that can’t use ear plugs in the show ring.
